Scam Artists Impersonate Pastors

The internet is a wonderful tool that allows us to connect with one another even when we can not physically be together. It allows us to spread news quickly, support a community and share our joy in the faith. Like with every other medium, however, there are those who try to take advantage of the goodness of others! Scam artists have found a new low in impersonating pastors and creating email addresses with their names to ask people online for money. You can read more in this article: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/living/religion/article209212299.html

The emails look at first glance to be official, but they aren't. Please, if you have received any request for money that does not ask you to donate directly to St. Peter's or it's school, disregard the request and let us know!
