Baptismal Preparation

We welcome and congratulate families wishing to pass on the faith to their children through the sacrament of Baptism. A preparation class for parents and Godparents is scheduled for Sunday, June 3rd at 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in Neglia Hall (Bernardin Center). At this session we will explore the meaning of the sacrament and familiarize you with how the Baptism is celebrated. Both parents are asked to be present at the Baptism. However, if for some valid reason one parent cannot attend the class, the Catholic parent must attend.

As part of the Baptismal Rite, parents are promising to raise their child in the faith. So that the Church may have an expectation that the child will be raised in the Faith, parents must be registered, participating members of St. Peter’s for at least 6 months.
