Changes in Saint Peter's Staff

Deacon Ron Anderson to Take Up New Position Deacon Ron Anderson, Administrator of Saint Peter’s for the past ten years, will assume new duties as the Regional Director of Catholic Charities for the Midlands – from Gloverville near Aiken, north to Rock Hill – effective June 8. We’re thrilled for him to have this profound opportunity to serve in this unique capacity for the Diocese and to provide leadership and direction to the staff and many volunteers of the helping arm of our Church to persons in great need. As you look around Saint Peter’s you’ll note Deacon Ron’s hidden hands in nearly everything – but especially in all the construction, maintenance and security of our physical plant. He has overseen every project, improvement and act of maintenance to include the prep-work for this Summer’s round of Restoration efforts above the Altar that will take place in July and August since he first began. He also provided a steady hand to staff and oversaw aspects of financial management during his many years at Saint Peter’s. Thankfully, Deacon Ron will remain one of our three Parish Deacons and you’ll still see him as he rotates through our weekend Masses. While he will leave big shoes to fill on a day-to-day basis, he assures us, he’ll never be far from us! Please be sure to wish him well! Welcome to Ana Hildago Our New Director of Hispanic Ministries Two weeks ago, our Spanish Mass goers welcomed Ana Hildago to her new position as Director of Hispanic Ministries. Ana replaces Louis Melendez and will be working in the office by the windows next to our Parish Receptionist as one enters the Cardinal Bernadin Center adjacent to the Parish Church. Unlike Louis, Ana is a full-time staff member who will also provide Spanish instruction beginning in the Fall in Saint Peter’s Parochial School. A native of Costa Rica, she is a U.S. citizen and totally bi-lingual. Ana is an educator and former Diocesan employee having coordinated and originated the very successful School of Faith for the Diocese. Of interest, Ana is consecrated lay-woman, and has taken vows with Bishop Guglielmone that have set her apart for prayer and service to God. How thankful we are that she will be living out these vows here at Saint Peter’s. Please warmly welcome Ana to our Parish family!
