Baptismal Preparation

We welcome and congratulate families wishing to pass on the faith to their children through the sacrament of Baptism. A preparation class for parents and Godparents is scheduled for Sunday, June 3rd at 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in Neglia Hall (Bernardin Center). At this session we will explore the meaning of the sacrament and familiarize you with how the Baptism is celebrated. Both parents are asked to be present at the Baptism. However, if for some valid reason one parent cannot attend the class, the Catholic parent must attend.
As part of the Baptismal Rite, parents are promising to raise their child in the faith. So that the Church may have an expectation that the child will be raised in the Faith, parents must be registered, participating members of St. Peter’s for at least 6 months. You must pre-register for this Baptismal Preparation, please contact Donna Tomasini at donna@visitstpeters.org or 803-779-0036

I appreciate how this Baptism preparation program helps families understand the meaning and responsibilities of this important sacrament. I believe that guiding children through faith and providing them with a supportive community can create a strong foundation for their future. The emphasis on parental participation and preparation highlights the importance of commitment and shared responsibility. In my free time, I also enjoy playing EaglerCraft as a fun way to relax and take a break from daily responsibilities.
