Holy Week 2022: Enter Deeply into the Passion of Our Lord


Saint Peter's has a long tradition of celebrating Holy Week and the Sacred Triduum with dignity and grace.


Our Holy Week observances are available in-person and via livestream on our Facebook page.

Passion Sunday / Palm Sunday (April 10)

  • Masses at 9 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM (in Spanish), and 5:30 PM

Monday of Holy Week (April 11)

  • Mass at 12 PM

Tuesday of Holy Week (April 12)

  • No Mass at Saint Peter's; Chrism Mass to be celebrated in Charleston

Wednesday of Holy Week (April 13)

  • Mass at 8:30 AM

  • Stations of the Cross at 12 PM

  • Eucharistic Adoration all afternoon

  • Solemn Benediction at 5:45 PM

The Paschal Triduum

The Latin word "Triduum," literally translated, means "three days." These three days are the central days of the entire liturgical year and are the heart of the Church's life. It is best understood as one single observance that is so great a mystery that its celebration is extended over three days. They are together the Christian High Holy Day, the day when we celebrate most fully our salvation won by our Lord, Jesus Christ. We enter into especially sacred time during these three days.

  • Thursday of Holy Week (April 14)

    • Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper at 7 PM

  • Friday of the Passion of the Lord / Good Friday (April 15)

    • Stations of the Cross at 12 PM

    • The Celebration of the Passion of the Lord at 3 PM- Veneration of the Cross may be a genuflection or a simple bow.

  • Saturday: The Easter Vigil of the Holy Night (April 16)

    • No Confessions

    • Vigil begins at 8:30 PM

Easter Sunday (April 17)

  • Masses at

    • 9 AM, 11 AM, 5:30 PM (in English)

    • 1 PM (in Spanish)
