Thanksgiving Turkey Thank you!
Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU!!! The turkeys for Thanksgiving are done! We had some incredible Volunteers donate their time over the last several days. The Volunteers were certainly the model of efficiency. Just what did we do? Well ... In the span of 5 days, 96 turkeys were cooked and deboned. That is 1850.4 lbs of raw turkey, yielding roughly 610lbs of deboned turkey, giving us over 2,400 4oz servings We actually had a large number of Volunteers help with the turkeys, far too many people to thank by name, as I would surely leave someone out. But, some of them are: Bill Thompson Peggy Thompson (and Peggy's friend) Rick Coker Duke Israel Phil Dunn Connie & Jack Seurynck (and their granddaughter too!) Tom & Julie Jackman Karen Alessi Bill Gray (and his truck) Hal Lominick Michael Sakara Carol Fulton Tammy Carson Chrissy Dingeldine (and her 6 or 7 coworkers from DSS that also volunteered) and quite a few other people too! I apologize for anyone that I did not call out by name, but unfortunately we did not have a sign-in sheet and I had to pull those names from my memory. Relying on my memory can be a risky proposition. I would also like to take a moment to thank Fr. Linksy, Deacon Ron Anderson, and the entire St. Peter's staff for putting up with us for the past week. We certainly could not prepare all that turkey without the cooperation of St. Peter's. Once again, THANK YOU!
